Thousands of people we meet in our lifetime
different times, different places but,
absorbed in memory mostly, only their faces
remembrance abstract, vague impression
even in second contact
as time elapses, gradually effaced are those faces
not all but , few lucky enough
to carve their identity in our consciousness.
Eyes emblem of kindness
Mouth bespeaks gentleness
Voice so calm, yet full of assurance
Words nothing but a package of wisdom
Hands always extended to help, when in need
ripples of laughter that reverberate in our own system
magically diluting the pain
stories gripping, inspiring, urging to continue living
such beings, easy to recognize immediately
unforgettable to the last
not a feeling foreign develops,
when are they around
have known them forever it seems
re encountered when, after
years
image so vivid as if it was just yesterday
in the face of the darkest days,
their warmth filled memory
never betrays
